Frequently asked questions
Good questions deserve straight answers.
From first ideas to the finishing touches, here are the answers to questions you might be asking.
Branding.
Explore brandingDo I need a complete rebrand or just a brand refresh?
Not every business needs to start again. If your positioning, audience or offer has changed significantly, a full rebrand may make more sense. If the foundations are still right but the visual identity feels dated or inconsistent, a brand refresh can often be enough. We’ll work out what actually needs changing before designing anything.
How long does a brand identity project take?
Most brand identity projects take around 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the scope, number of deliverables and how quickly feedback is shared. A simple brand refresh may take less time, while a full branding project involving strategy, visual identity and marketing collateral may take longer.
What do I receive at the end of a branding project?
Your final brand identity package depends on the project, but it can include your logo design and logo system, colour palette, typography, visual identity assets, brand guidelines and ready-to-use files for digital and print. Marketing collateral and social templates can also be included where needed.
Can you work with my existing logo?
Yes. Sometimes the logo is not the problem. We can review what already exists and decide whether it needs refining, expanding into a stronger visual identity or replacing altogether. There’s no reason to throw away something that still works.
Do you also design websites after branding?
Yes. Branding and web design work particularly well together because the website becomes one of the main places your new identity actually comes to life. SABO can take the brand directly into a new or redesigned website so everything feels consistent from the beginning.
How much does branding cost?
Branding costs depend on how much your business actually needs. A focused brand refresh is very different from a full brand identity project involving strategy, logo design, visual identity, guidelines and marketing materials. After an initial conversation, we’ll recommend the scope that makes sense for your business rather than selling you things you don’t need.
Web Design.
Explore web designHow much does a website cost in the UK?
It depends on the number of pages, the content, the design work and any special features your business needs. Hosting and ongoing support may be separate costs. Tell us what you need and we can recommend a scope and give you a quote before work begins.
How long does it take to build a website?
A focused site and a larger site with more pages and features will have very different timelines. Content, feedback and approvals also affect the schedule. Once we understand the project, we can agree a realistic plan together.
Can I update my website myself after launch?
That depends on how the site is built and what you need to change. If you want to edit pages, images or news yourself, tell us at the start so the right approach can be included in the plan. We can also discuss ongoing help if you would rather leave updates to us.
Will my website work on mobile phones and tablets?
Yes. Responsive design is part of the service: we design for different screen sizes so your content and calls to action remain clear and usable on phones, tablets and desktops.
Will my new website appear on Google?
We can build a clear, accessible site structure and discuss the pages and questions your customers actually need. Being found also depends on content, competition and ongoing work, so no web designer can promise a particular ranking. If you'd like to go further, we can talk through the options.
Do I own my website and domain?
Ownership and access should be clear before a project begins. We will discuss your domain, hosting, design files and any third-party subscriptions in the proposal so you know what you control and what, if anything, has an ongoing cost.
What happens after my website goes live?
A website still needs attention after launch, from content changes to hosting and maintenance. We can talk through what you want to manage yourself and what support you would like us to provide, then make those responsibilities clear before the site goes live.

Social Media.
Explore social mediaWhat does a social media manager do for a business?
+A social media manager helps plan what to say, create and schedule content, and keep your channels consistent. The exact work can also include reporting, campaign visuals and coordinating photography or video. We agree what your business actually needs before deciding what to manage.
How much does social media management cost in the UK?
+The cost depends on the platforms, how often you need content, whether photography or video is required and how much ongoing support you want. A one-off strategy is different from monthly content creation and management. We scope the work with you before quoting, so there is no made-up one-size-fits-all price.
How often should a small business post on social media?
+There is no posting number that works for every business. It is more useful to publish consistently at a pace you can sustain, with something worth saying to the people you want to reach. We would start with your goals and resources, then build a realistic content plan.
Which social media platform is best for my business?
+The right platform is the one your customers use and where your work can be shown or explained well. You do not need to be on every channel. We can help you choose where to focus before asking you to make more content.
How do I know if social media is working?
+Start with what you want it to do: help more people discover you, bring visitors to your website, start conversations or support enquiries. We look beyond follower counts at relevant engagement, website visits and enquiries where those can be tracked. Social media is only one part of the customer journey, so not every sale can be credited to a post.
